Young Professionals' Brown Bag presents: Millennials in Boston Report w/ The Boston Indicators

Join us for a discussion with The Boston Indicators to discuss the findings of their newly released "Millennials in Boston" report.

Boston is a city of millennials. With a full 34 percent of its population between  the ages of 20 and 34, Boston has the highest concentration of millennials among the 25 largest U.S. cities. While this population has grown, millennials in Boston also face new challenges, including an increasingly expensive local housing market and an economy that does not support upward mobility as well as it did for generations past.

Luc Schuster will join us to discuss these and other findings from Boston Indicators’ recent report "City of Millennials: Improving the Future Prospects of Our Region and Its Young Adults". He’ll also share interesting results from a recent housing poll, which are summarized in this article Boston Housing Challenges Through Millennial Eyes: 9 Findings From a New Poll(link is external).

About the Presenter:

Luc Schuster is Director of Boston Indicators, a research center at The Boston Foundation. Prior to joining Boston Indicators, he worked at the Massachusetts Budget and Policy Center as Deputy Director and as a Senior Fellow. Luc has also done a range of independent public policy consulting, including providing support for the City of Boston’s Tuition-Free Community College program and conducting school finance research for the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents. Luc was a two-term member of the Cambridge School Committee and has a Master in Public Policy degree from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
