This VISTA project focuses on communications and volunteer programming to support community members to achieve their economic mobility goals. This is an ideal position for someone who is a good communicator and a people person, who would like to build skills in general communications and fundraising, website management, graphic design, and volunteer engagement at a dynamic and well-regarded non-profit. The Neighborhood Developers is located in Chelsea MA, right across the Mystic River from Boston. Please note this is a one-year VISTA member position starting 8/30/21. VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) provides full-time volunteers to nonprofit, faith-based and other community organizations to create and expand programs that bring low-income individuals and communities out of poverty. In addition to a living allowance, volunteers receive an education award or cash stipend, health insurance, and week-long training.
