The Holyoke Housing Authority is seeking qualified professional Financial Consultants to assist with affordable housing development/redevelopment. The anticipated work items will include financial modeling and analysis, and expertise in securing funding for innovative projects.
As stated in the RFP, the HHA is the developer of the South Holyoke Homes, a multi-phased affordable housing project in the South Holyoke neighborhood of Holyoke. More information can be found at http://www.southholyokehomes.org. Phase 1, a 12-unit rental project is currently in construction, and a $6.5M MassWorks Infrastructure grant is nearing completion. The HHA is actively working on pre-development activities for a second phase which will consist of homeownership units. In addition to providing support for homeownership endeavors, a Phase 3 is also planned and the HHA is planning to apply for Low Income Housing Tax Credits.
Other upcoming development activity includes the repositioning of the Churchill Homes. Originally a HOPE IV project, the HHA would like to reposition the 100-unit property and is exploring a variety of redevelopment options.
