Program Assistant Entrepreneurship Center

We are seeking an Entrepreneurship Center Program Assistant who will be responsible for supporting the Small Business Association (SBA) microloan program with data management, tracking and reporting, as well as supporting small business technical assistance program with client technical assistance support and outcomes tracking.  Responsibilities also include assisting with design, marketing, and running small business workshops.

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Assist with data tracking on client technical assistance, including tracking of hours and outcomes.
  • Generate data for reports (including monthly, quarterly, bi-annual & annual reporting).
  • Assist with providing SBA microloan servicing, including loan payment processing status communication.
  • Work with loan clients (pre-loan) to ensure all loan documentation is gathered, verified and organized based on funder requirements.
  • Work with loan clients (post-loan) to ensure that technical assistance tasks are being implemented, tracked and outcomes measured.
  • Assist with design and marketing of small business workshops. Present and run small business workshops as necessary.
  • Manage social media, including auto post platform, written communications, etc. as necessary to engage and inform community

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree in business, finance, project management, economic development or related field preferred.
  • Two or more years’ experience in loan generation, business development, business ownership or project management required.
  • Previous training experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient computer skills to include: Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and comfort learning new software and tracking systems.
  •  Desire to work with low-income, culturally diverse, and at-risk families and individuals.
  • Ability to have episodic access to vulnerable populations.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Khmer, Spanish, or Portuguese) preferred.
