LISC AmeriCorps - Rapid Re-Employment Specialist

The AmeriCorps Rapid Re-Employment Specialist will assist area job seekers from diverse backgrounds and levels of experience as they conduct successful job searches, obtain employment and/or enroll in job training programs. Specific activities will include:

• Conducting outreach to residents in need of job navigation;
• Conducting outreach to local employers to learn about potential job openings;
• Assisting with cover letter and resume editing, interview prep (including mock interviews), online application guidance, and soft skills training;
• Helping develop written materials - such as sample resumes and cover letters and interview tips – and online or in-person job search workshops;
• Creating referrals to job training programs;
• Planning and organizing career fairs and mock interview practice sessions;
• Gathering data for reports and operational decision making;
• Represent TND/CONNECT at career fairs.
