Job Description

Connected Communities is a mission-driven nonprofit and a leading provider of community-based social impact services. We work in partnership with affordable and mixed-income housing development and management organizations to ensure communities are stable, connected and empowered through the development and scaling of promising practices and programs that result in measurable, positive outcomes for residents.

 

Connected Communities seeks an innovative and experienced leader for its Fund Development Manager (FDM) position, a new role established to develop, implement and manage strategic fundraising. Reporting to and in partnership with the President, the FDM will build and lead development efforts as Connected Communities continues to grow.

 

Please note that the pay range for this position is $95,000 to $105,000 annually.

Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute Connected Communities' multi-year strategic fundraising plan for individual, foundation, and corporate giving and align fundraising efforts with organizational objectives and mission, in collaboration with the President and Board of Directors.
    • Build and manage Connected Communities' portfolio of funders. Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, partners including both public and private funding opportunities. Identify grant and funder management platforms that best meet the needs of Connected Communities.
    • Manage the overall grant process from funding proposal submissions, planning and tracking applications, coordinating proposal development with internal and external stakeholders, and granting compliance to timely preparation and submission of reporting.
    • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders about the organization's mission and needs, including preparing written and oral presentations, proposals, letters, and follow-up materials.
    • Plan and execute events, campaigns, and initiatives to attract sponsors and support.
    • Work collaboratively with the President, Head of Operations Support, Head of Impact Support, and other leaders within Connected Communities to ensure program needs are met. Develop collaborative relationships with other departments within WinnCompanies, such as accounting, compliance, and property operations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned as an integral part of the Connected Communities leadership team.

Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree (relevant field preferred).
    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in development.
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
    • Commitment to the mission and values of Connected Communities.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
    • Ability to take initiative and managing multiple projects and asks.
    • Strong time management skills.
    • Superb attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of grant management systems.

$95,000 - $105,000 a year
