Boston Financial Investment Management, LP is one of the largest multi-family investment managers of low-income housing in the U.S.  The firm specializes in low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) investment syndication and asset management.
 
Position Overview:
 
There is a corporate paralegal position currently open in our Boston location.  This is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking a high level of responsibility to work closely with the senior corporate/real estate paralegal, account managers and portfolio managers to deliver consistent and efficient legal support to institutional investors.  In addition, the paralegal will assist Boston Financial, a wholly owned subsidiary of a large public company, with its corporate compliance responsibilities.  The position includes, but is not limited to, the following job responsibilities:
·         Create, qualify, maintain and dissolve investment and corporate entities (corporations, limited liability companies and limited partnerships) and process vendor invoices regarding these entities (statutory representations, annual reports, good standing certificates, certified organizational documents).
·         Responsible for corporate Annual Report filings for approximately 1200 entities.
·         Maintain corporate minute books.
·         Obtain EINs for new entities from the IRS.
·         Draft miscellaneous resolutions and assignment documents.
·         Maintain Boston Financial’s entity database (Hcue).
·         Provide support to investment, refinancing and disposition closings.
 
Minimum Requirements:
·         2-5 years corporate paralegal experience.
·         Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications.
·         Organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple, diverse projects concurrently.
·         Communication skills to interact with all levels of management.
·         Analytical and critical thinking skills.
·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
 
Desired Skills and Experience:
·         Paralegal certification
