The Neighborhood Developers seeks a capable self-starter to provide one year of full-time service as its CONNECT Systems Development & Analysis VISTA, starting in August 2021. This VISTA will build CONNECT’s capacity to help community members find employment as the Massachusetts economy reopens after the COVID-19 crisis. By supporting CONNECT’s abilities to place members of our low-income, largely immigrant constituency in family sustaining jobs with good benefits, the VISTA will help us achieve our long-term goal of moving clients from a place of economic insecurity to a place of financial stability and resilience. The Neighborhood Developers is located in Chelsea MA, right across the Mystic River from Boston. VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) provides full-time volunteers to nonprofit, faith-based and other community organizations to create and expand programs that bring low-income individuals and communities out of poverty. In addition to a living allowance, volunteers receive an education award or cash stipend, health insurance, and week-long training.
