Edgemere Consulting Corporation provides technical assistance to mid-size and large Public Housing Authorities (PHA).  We design and implement a wide range of technical assistance and training projects related to Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher, Choice Neighborhoods, Moving To Work and other federal, state and local housing programs.  We are a small company with a strong national reputation.  Our clients include many of the largest PHAs in the country. 
 
Job Description
 
Edgemere is seeking to hire an Associate, based in our Boston area office.  The Associate position is a mid-level, highly responsible position.   Associates provide support on existing Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher Program and Moving To Work Demonstration Program projects including, but not limited to: preparation of strategic plans, research and analysis of client operations, HUD regulations, housing policy options and best practices; preparation of funding applications; preparation of policy and procedural guides; complex data analysis to assess impacts of proposed policies; development of training materials; and, project management and on-site operational support for client program activities.
 
The work is varied, challenging and demanding.  Associates work as part of an interdisciplinary team, where everyone needs to be flexible and willing to do whatever it takes to complete the project in support of our clients’ objectives.  This position requires the ability to travel out-of-state on a regular basis.

Requirements
 
The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 3 years work experience related to affordable housing, public housing, Housing Choice Voucher Program, or other related field.  A Masters Degree in a related field is plus; however, a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is a minimum requirement.  Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills are essential to the performance of this job.  Qualified applicants must be highly motivated and self-directed.  Working knowledge and prior direct experience with the Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher programs is highly preferred.  Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite is required.  Strong Excel and/or other database skills are preferred.
