CHAPA wants your input on our policy work for 2014 so that we can effectively address the biggest barriers to the production and preservation of affordable housing for low and moderate income households.

During this current legislative session, CHAPA has focused on increasing funding for housing and homelessness prevention programs, recapitalizing housing development programs, zoning reform, and expanding tools to revitalize Gateway Cities.  As we approach the second year of the two-year legislative session and begin to develop our priorities for the 2014-2015 legislative session, we are interested in your feedback. The list below includes policy areas we are currently working on as well as the emerging issue of health and housing. Within each policy area, we work on funding, regulations, and legislative solutions that expand and preserve our housing stock, remove barriers to accessing housing, and create healthy, vibrant communities.
