On October 16, the Massachusetts House of Representatives concluded debate on its FY2019 state supplemental budget. The budget was to closeout the previous fiscal year, which ended with a major revenue surplus. The supplemental budget bill, H.4127, now heads to the Senate.
Specifically, the House Supplemental budget provides:
- $10 million for the production of new homes for extremely low-income households
- $10 million for down payment assistance for low- and moderate-income first-time homebuyers
- $7 million for a rental and mortgage arrearage assistance pilot program
