Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston (FHLBank Boston) is now accepting nominations to fill four vacancies on its 2021 Advisory Council: one seat to represent Connecticut, two seats for Massachusetts, and one seat for Rhode Island. The four vacant seats will be filled by individuals actively involved in providing or promoting housing and community lending in their respective states.
The Advisory Council is comprised of at least two representatives from each of the six New England states along with at least two rotating seats that are filled from among the six executive directors (or their designees) of the six state housing finance agencies or the six state departments of housing and/or community development.
The Affordable Housing Program regulation requires FHLBank Boston to maintain an Advisory Council comprised of individuals who reside in FHLBank Boston’s district and are drawn from community nonprofit and for-profit organizations actively involved in providing or promoting low- and moderate-income housing and community lending in the district.
FHLBank Boston seeks to promote diversity in the composition of its Advisory Council and encourages nominations for eligible candidates who are minorities, women or individuals with disabilities.
