Correction to June 23, 2009 Housing Briefs Regarding Outside Section 142 - June 25, 2009

The June 23rd Housing Briefs incorrectly summarized Outside Section 142 as requiring the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) to continue to process shelter applications until the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) files an operational plan to do with the legislature. Outside Section 142 of the budget provides that the Department of Housing & Community Development will be the entity that processes applications for shelter at Department of Transitional Assistance offices until DHCD establishes an operational plan to do so at separate offices and files its plan with the Legislature.
