COVID-19 Concerns Update:
Please be advised that, as a response to the current COVID-19 concerns, many Housing Counseling Agencies may be closed to outside guests at this time. However, many are working remotely and offer online education as an option as well as virtual classes in a webinar format. See the list below for the Housing Counseling Agencies offering online education. Please note the Certificate you receive is the same regardless if you complete the course online or in person. If you are having trouble reaching the agency, please contact us at 617-742-0820. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation at this time.
The homebuyer education schedule below contains pre-purchase and post-purchase courses for first-time homebuyers offered by agencies with a Seal of Approval certification from the Massachusetts Homeownership Collaborative, a designation indicating they meet the Collaborative's standards for comprehensive homebuyer education. Please note that CHAPA does not host any of these courses; after clicking on the course you want below, the agency listed is the host you should contact with any questions. The courses are listed on the calendar by the first day of the course. The listing includes the city or town and the region that the course is located in, what kind of course it is (pre-purchase, post-purchase, condo training, etc), and the start and end time of the first day of the course. Please click on the course to get complete information.
If you have any concerns about the quality of the homebuyer education you received, or have reason to believe one of these organizations is not adhering to the Collaborative's Code of Ethics, please contact us. Your name will be kept strictly confidential.
This schedule is subject to change. Please contact the homebuyer education agency in your area to confirm dates and times and reserve a place in a course. This list may not include all scheduled courses. If you do not see a course that is convenient for you, call an agency in your area for additional information.
