Bridging the Housing Gap of COVID-19:
Housing Resources Available for Tenants and Homeowners

What Tenants, Homeowners, Landlords, and Lenders Should Know Now

What can we do to prevent mass numbers of evictions and foreclosures when the moratorium ends?
Keep people stably housed now... while we have the resources available to do it.

How severe is the COVID-19 housing crisis? What is the possible impact of federal and state policy changes? How bad is it in southeastern Massachusetts...really?

Thankfully, there are already some state, federal, and privately funded resources to help stabilize residents before we get to the crisis point of eviction or foreclosure. The challenge is finding and accessing those resources.

Please join NeighborWorks® Housing Solutions for a regional panel presentation on Thursday, August 20th from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. They will present the current housing payment data, identify the impact of federal and state emergency response measures, review state and federally funded short-term rental and mortgage resources and hear from some municipalities and an affordable housing manager who have taken proactive approaches.

Panelists include:

  • Tom Hopper, Director of Research & Analytics, MHP's Center for Housing Data and co-author with Callie Clark of the Greater Boston Housing Report Card: Housing Stability: COVID-19 and Beyond
  • Nate Robinson, Housing Programs Manager, Quincy Department of Planning and Community Development
  • Emily Hall, Community Development and Compliance Director, Brockton Redevelopment Authority
  • Kendra Hudson, Regional Property Manager, Winn Residential
  • Staff from NeighborWorks® Housing Solutions, the administering agency for Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT) and Emergency Rental and Mortgage Assistance (ERMA)

Please join NeighborWorks® Housing Solutions at Thursday, August 20th at 10 AM via Zoom for the presentation and a brief question and answer session as we chart out the resources within the region.
