Sean Tierney joined CHAPA in 2018 as Senior Policy Analyst. Prior to joining CHAPA, Sean was Research Director & Legal Counsel for the Massachusetts Joint Committee on Housing. Before joining the Housing Committee in 2015, Tierney was Deputy Legal Counsel to the Joint Committee on Revenue. While in law school, Sean served as a Rappaport Fellow in Law and Public Policy at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office, taught Constitutional Law at City on a Hill High School, and interned for the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights under the Law. Prior to becoming an attorney, he worked for Harvard University’s Institute of Politics. Sean is a graduate of The University of Massachusetts, Amherst, earned a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar.
