Join us in a discussion with our hosts around the role of the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) in its efforts in helping local governments develop housing production plans. Learn about how cities in Massachusetts are working to meet their housing needs, how area demands change from city to city, and what MAPC is doing to help local municipalities identify housing trends in their communities. 

 

About the presenters: 

Karina Milchman, AICP is a Regional Planner II and Housing Specialist at the Metropolitan Area Planning Council in Boston, MA. She works to achieve the smart growth, housing affordability, and equity goals set forth in the region's MetroFuture plan. She provides direct technical assistance to 101 member municipalities, working with them to draft zoning and develop master plans, Housing Production plans and neighborhood plans. Karina holds a Master's in City Planning and Certificate in Urban Design from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. 

Ralph Willmer, FAICP is a Principal Planner at the Metropolitan Area Planning Council in Boston, MA. He has over 30 years of planning experience, focusing on the preparation of community master plans, open space and recreation plans, housing production plans and more.
