Job Description

The Supportive Case Manager is responsible for assisting with the overall management and maintenance of Victory Housing on Warren Street, and is the primary liaison between tenants, owners and 3rd party providers. 

Typical functions include but are not limited to the following:      

  • Provide supportive case management services and maintain case management records
  • Assess and provide referrals and other community-based recovery, health, nutritional and supportive services, etc.
  • Complete daily walk through and safety checks of the facility, document all finding accurately in both the site log book and electronic shift note. 
  • Assist with initial certification and annual recertification for eligibility for prospective clients.
  • Meet with prospective leasing clients to show properties, explain terms of occupancy, and provide information about local areas.
  • Prepare vacant units for re-occupancy and facilitate tenants’ moving days.
  • Collect deposits and monthly rental fees
  • Assist with maintaining of records, certificates and permits issued, maintenance and operating costs.
  • Collect and input client data into databases for reporting and compliance purposes.
  • Manage and oversee office operations.
  • Maintain an up-to-date print and web-based list of recovery related resources
  • Promote access to and participation in the community and neighborhood events
  • Investigate complaints, disturbances and violations, and resolve problems following the agency policies and procedures.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of contract personnel (third-party vendors, such as utility companies, inspectional services, and pest control).
  • Inspect grounds, facilities, and equipment routinely and coordinate maintenance and improvement of property with the Facilities Department.
  • Ensure that common areas and exterior grounds are clean and safe

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with two years of case manager experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including the use of Word and Excel.
  • Experience working with budgets.
  • Must be 25 years of age with a valid Massachusetts driver’s license with a safety driving points of 98.99.00.01.02 or 03.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and record keeping skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks without loss of efficiency.
  • Ability to work and relate to tenants in a helpful and compassionate manner
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a Housing First team.
  • Demonstrated experience and competence in working with diverse populations.

 

Days/Hours:

  • Full time position: Tuesday-Saturday (40 hours/week)

Rate: $18.42/hr
