Job Description

National Equity Fund, Inc. (NEF), a leading non-profit syndicator of low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC), is seeking a Senior Analyst- Investor Reporting. The LIHTC program is the most important resource available today for creating affordable housing in the United States. NEF uses its extensive experience, talent, and resources to create sustainable affordable housing.

The Senior Analyst- Investor Reporting provides analytical and technical support for the department. working individually and with others, this person compiles and completes various reports for NEF investors including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as all special requests. This includes assessing, analyzing, and reporting for investors on the performance of underlining assets in NEF Funds under the supervision of the Director of investor Reporting. 

Essential duties:

  • Working with the Director of Investor Reporting, assist in the timely preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly & annual reporting to investors including construction, lease-up, and pre- and post-stabilization reports.
  • Assists in coordinating and preparing investor specific reports as may be requested by investors on a quarterly or annual basis or as required by side letter agreements.
  • Coordinate with asset management department to obtain information needed for various reports and coordinate timely answers to information requests by investors and regulatory agencies
  • Together with the Director of Investor Reporting, investigate opportunities for enhancing existing reports and increasing the use of technology to create efficiencies in the reporting process; assist in design of systems and reports to respond to these opportunities
  • In conjunction with the Director of Investor Reporting, monitor the ArcGIS mapping and coordinating with regional asset management staff to track and report on the impact of natural disasters on the NEF portfolio.
  • Assist Director of Investor Reporting in the coordination of monthly, quarterly, and annual calls with Investors and internal staff to review priority properties in the investor’s single and multi-investor funds
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years responsible experience in asset management, property management or real estate finance.  Tax credit experience strongly preferred. 

 Skill Sets Must Include:

  • Strong financial analysis skills and knowledge required. Keen analytical skills and attention to detail, including working with a company database and creating excel spreadsheets.  Skilled in interpreting and compiling data. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as function in a dynamic team environment, and work additional hours as needed to meet deadlines.                                                                           
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • A desire to interact with others and to act in a central capacity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint; Knowledge or experience with Access, Azure, SQL coding and Crystal reporting preferred. Ability to utilize technology to create efficiencies.
