Manager, Clinical Case Management Services

**HIRING BONUS of $2,250*** $250 welcome payment in first paycheck, plus $2000 after 90 days!

Summary:

The Manager of Clinical Case Management Services is responsible for overseeing the delivery of clinical and non-clinical case management, and recovery-oriented services within the St. Francis House Day Shelter. The Manager of Clinical & Recovery Services applies clinically-informed insights to the work and infuses a person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented approach in accordance with our Philosophy of Care. The Manager of Clinical & Recovery Services works closely with managers of other programs, specifically Guest Services and Community Engagement & Safety (CES) to ensure consistency in services for guests.

Essential Duties and Qualifications:

  • Oversees the delivery of individualized clinical and non-clinical case management to day shelter guests that is focused on housing, income, and behavioral health stability.
  • Collaborates with City and other homeless service providers/funders such as Boston Healthcare for the Homeless, the Department of Mental Health Homeless Outreach Team, to facilitate needed services- clinical and nonclinical services for guests including coordinating housing navigation trainings for staff and participating in the City’s Chronic Homelessness initiatives.
  • Works in a highly collaborative way with other Day Shelter Managers
  • Facilitates on-site trainings around case management interventions that include assertive engagement techniques, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction.
  • Ensures contracts with Department of Mental Health (DMH) and Boston Health Care for the Homeless: Behavioral Health Community Partners (BHCP) are fully operational and that contract deliverables are being met. Actively engage in conversations with other shelters and consortium providers about operationalizing service-delivery under these contracts.
  • Ensures the effective integration of assessments and service planning into individual work with guests. Monitor and support the work of the teams and analyze and evaluate guest outcomes over time.
  • Regularly reviews and analyzes information relevant to departmental performance on outputs and outcomes. Suggest adjustments to program design or practice that will lead to more effective service delivery.
  • Manages department budget and expenditures.
  • Masters-level clinician. LICSW (or LCSW with expectation to secure LICSW within 6 months) preferred. LMHC and non-licensed clinicians will be considered.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience providing clinical services and/or recovery supports to at-risk individuals struggling with one or more of the following challenges: homelessness, active substance use, histories of criminal activity and incarceration, and mental illness.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervising staff and overseeing service delivery and program implementation.
  • Lived experience with homelessness a plus.
  • Bilingual – Spanish a plus.
