Job Description

The Cambridge Housing Authority seeks applicants for the above referenced position in which the incumbent will be responsible for a specific caseload which may vary on an annual basis. A major responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely processing of all data related to applicants and participant/residents of the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program. The incumbent will be responsible for scheduling, eligibility, lease-ups, and file management as well as performing annual and interim certifications.

Requirements include excellent math and written/verbal communication skills. The abilities to understand and apply specific programs and related procedures and prepare detailed documents pertaining to eligibility or denial will be required. Experience in dealing with the public, especially those of low income, individuals with disabilities or elders, is desirable. A Diploma plus two years of college or three years work related experience is also required. Fluency in other languages will be helpful.
