Way Finder’s Rental Assistance department is piloting a new program! The Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) recently launched the Supportive Neighborhood Opportunity in Massachusetts (SNO-Mass), a new housing mobility program that supports low-income families with Housing Choice Voucher to move to areas of higher opportunity - neighborhood that offer strong schools, safe  environments and economic opportunities for residents. SNO-Mass is designed to help reduce the barriers families often face in finding housing and moving to higher opportunity areas; SNO-Mass services include mobility counseling and housing search support for households, outreach and enhanced support for landlords in qualifying areas, and post-move support for households.


We are searching for manager to oversee the management and staff, as well as a caseload. The manager will be responsible for coordination and delivery of program services, assisting families with housing search providing educational and informative workshops and training, owner and property management recruitment. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of supportive services in areas of opportunity, to make appropriate referrals to help remove any barriers to a successful opportunity move.


This position requires an outgoing, energetic individual who is self-motivated. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required. Bachelor’s Degree (4 year degree) in social work, public policy or other related fields required, Masters in Social Work or related field strongly preferred. 3-5 years’ experience in social services, case management required, with additional experience in real estate market, subsidized housing programs, and fair housing preferred, as well as managerial experience. Salary between $46,000 - $58,500 depending on qualifications plus excellent benefits. Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle required.
