Job Description

ReImagine North of Main Project (RNoM), is a three-year old collective impact effort led by Fitchburg State University, City of Fitchburg, Fitchburg Art Museum, The Minority Coalition of North Central Massachusetts, Montachusett Opportunity Council, and NewVue Communities.  The Director for the initiative plays a critical role in the day-to-day and strategic management of the initiative and is responsible for the overall development, implementation, and oversight of partner led strategies.  ReImagine North of Main is an award-winning partnership with local businesses, the university, government, nonprofits and, most importantly, residents committed to making a collective impact, and dedicated to improving the quality of life in the North of Main neighborhood. The collaboration is focused in three key areas: economic development, housing, and community engagement. The goal is to improve the quality of life in the neighborhood resulting in a ReImagined North of Main where residents and businesses want to live, work, play, and invest.

RNoM is a grant funded position, the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts, as well as a number of other sources have provided the grant funding. Fitchburg State University will serve as the lead for this collaborative, and as such the Director will be employed by Fitchburg State University.
