Job Description

DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF LEASED HOUSING

The Agency seeks applicants for the above referenced position in which the incumbent’s responsibilities will include oversight and management of CHA’s Leased Housing Programs, specifically, a portfolio of over 5,000 Federal and State vouchers throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Responsibilities include: directly supervising program staff who manage the day-today operations of the Leased Housing programs; overseeing the waitlist, eligibility and screening processes for new applicants; monitoring the on-going program recertification process, including communication with program participants, landlords, and other partners; overseeing staff training and quality control for all programs; coordinating the development and writing of program policies in response to changes in HUD regulations and CHA policies; and other duties as assigned. Areas of responsibility also include financial management, regulatory and policy implementation, as well as program control and compliance, including data management and analysis.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration or related field and a minimum of five years of experience in housing management. At least three years’ experience involving direct supervision or program responsibility required. Excellent communication and computer skills are required. Ability to travel and operate their own reliable motor vehicle within the state of Massachusetts is required. Mileage reimbursement per state and federal guidelines will be provided. The Agency offers a competitive benefits program including health and dental insurance, and the State Retirement System.

Pay Grade 15-Hourly, starting at: $40.37 (2017); A retroactive salary adjustment for 2019 is subject to ongoing collective bargaining negotiations.
