Job Description

The Deputy Director of Victory Housing is accountable for the overall coordination of any administrative, clinical, financial and operational services/systems for the following programs with-in the Housing Division: Revision Family Home, Chamblet Family Home, Portis Family Home, Revision Urban Farm, and the Rapid Re-housing program.  

 

Typical functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage and coordinate all clinical and administrative components of the designated program(s) and services function at highest level of efficiency and to meet both agency and contractual service delivery requirements.
  • Participate in the budget and contract amendment preparation for all designated programs.
  • Hire, supervise, terminate, evaluate, train or promote assigned staff
  • Review and adhere to Victory Programs Administrative Procedure Manual and Employee/safety handbook and ensure all assigned staff are thoroughly oriented to these texts.
  • Review and have knowledge of all contracts, legal documents, and any other documents that ensures the sound management of daily program operations.
  • Participate in any grant preparation necessary for assigned program(s).
  • Oversee the implementation of agency quality improvement plans for each assigned program or service.
  • Develop and maintain professional affiliations with organizations or individuals to support a comprehensive continuum of care for program participants.
  • Provide any internal controls or internal review of staff, records, training or client policies to ensure total quality management.
  • Represent Victory Programs and assigned programs to the community, agencies, and individuals.
  • Participate in the Leadership Team, assigned Workgroups activities and other staff meetings as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling or a related field preferred or a Bachelor’s degree in these fields with extensive management or clinical trainings, and three years of supervisory and managerial experience with multiple reports
  • Knowledge of federal, state, city contract requirements.
  • Strong organizational, writing, computer, communication and financial knowledge and skills.
  • Three strong work related references.
  • Demonstrated competence in service coordination and networking with other human services and health care providers.
  • Familiarity with State and Federal housing programs strongly desired.
  • Knowledge of  HIV and substance use disorders
  • Openness to harm reduction philosophy; knowledge of addiction services and/or experience working with homeless population a plus.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively as a member of a professional team.
  • Current TB assessment and CPR certification
  • Have access to reliable transportation to ensure ability to be mobile between programs.

Schedule:  Full-time position (40 hours/week): flexible
