Do you want to turn your desire to help people experiencing homelessness into a career? Are you interested in a security or human services career? If so, St. Francis House is looking for a Community Engagement and Safety Lobby Attendant!
The Community Engagement and Safety Lobby Attendant is the front line of staff in St. Francis House for staff, residents, and their guests or visitors outside of Day Shelter hours in the multiple properties they may work in. The Community Engagement and Safety Lobby Attendant works to create a safe, professional, and welcoming environment. The Community Engagement and Safety Lobby Attendant supports shelter operations and safety through activities such as keeping nightly logs, conducting rounds, using the HMIS database, and practice de-escalation tactics to prevent disruptions to services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Preference will be given to those with experience working with the homeless population, mental health, or addiction services.
- Lived experience of homelessness and/or recovery a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
