The Still Segregated City: Exploring Residential Segregation in Boston, MA

Join us and the Boston Indicators to discuss the history of residential segregation in the city of Boston, and its continued impact throughout its neighborhoods and on its residents. In this discussion, we will have newly released data describing the pattern of residential segregation exacerbated by federal and state policies, its effects on the homeownership and rental market, and discuss potential policy solutions to help alleviate the problem.

About the Presenter:
Anise Vance, Senior Manager, Research in Race & Equity, The Boston Indicators 

Anise Vance serves as the Senior Manager of Research in Race and Equity at Boston Indicators. Anise has consulted as a researcher and communications strategist with a range of organizations, including HackPack, OpedSpace, and the Cathedral Quarter Steering Group in Belfast (Northern Ireland). Anise holds a Master of Philosophy in Geography from Queen's University Belfast, where he studied under the Mitchell Scholarship Program, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Rutgers University. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College.
