   Meeting Postponed to April 2nd, 10:00 a.m.

Due to the hearing on the Economic development legislation (H.4297) on March 27th and the tight timeline we are all under to prepare testimony, we are postponing CHAPA's Public Housing and Rental Assistance meeting planned for 10 am on March 27th to Monday April 2nd, 10 am - 11.30 am.

At this meeting, we will discuss the Governor's proposed public housing reforms in his Economic Development Bill, H.4297. The changes provide more flexibility for public housing authorities to enter redevelopment partnerships and to address deferred capital needs.

The hearing on the Economic Development bill which has the Public Housing Provisions is on March 27th, at 1:00 p.m., in Room B-1 of the State House before the Joint Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies, chaired by Rep. Joseph Wagner and Sen. Eric Lesser. For more information on H.4297, click here.

For a document containing the public housing sections from the economic development bill, including a description of those provisions and how they differ from what was originally filed in the Housing Bond Bill, click here.

At the meeting, we will discuss the provisions, and any suggested changes, comments, or concerns that were brought up at the working group meeting. We will also discuss DHCD's Draft FY2019 Moving To Work (MTW) Plan. For more information on the MTW Plan, please click here.
