Local Zoning Barriers to Affordable Housing - Case Study of Cambridge AHO. 

We are excited to host a Young Professionals Brown Bag after a brief interval. We are hosting Becca Schofield from Homeowner’s Rehab Inc. and A Better Cambridge to talk about the Cambridge AHO - 100% Affordable Housing Zoning Overlay proposal. The AHO was a zoning change that would have increased the number of affordable homes created in Cambridge by making it easier for new affordable housing developments to proceed and lowered costs for affordable housing partners. 

We look forward to discussing the insights from the journey of Cambridge AHO proposal and how it relates to the larger issue of local zoning barriers in Massachusetts and the Housing Choice bill.
