Massachusetts Housing Authorities with Section 8 Homeownership Programs June 19, 2002 The following are housing authorities that indicated in a recent CHAPA survey that they are implementing a Section 8 Homeownership Program. These agencies are in varying stages of implementing a program. Please contact them directly for more information. Additional housing authorities may alsp be participating. This is not an inclusive list. Amesbury and Merrimac Housing Authority Contact: Robert Mazzone Program Summary: Current tenants from Amesbury/Merrimac Housing Authority; Will work with tenants from other Housing Authorities; Participants can purchase in communities contiguous to Amesbury and Merrimac Boston Housing Authority Contact: Suzanne Forgione Program Summary: Current tenants from Boston Housing Authority (BHA); Will work with tenants from other Housing Authorities; Will work with tenants from other Housing Authorities; Households where the head or a member has a disability; Participants can purchase within the City of Boston; Participants can purchase in any community in the state, providing that the HA in that community has a Section 8 for Homeownership program Chelmsford Housing Authority Contact: David Hedison Program Summary: Current tenants in Family Self Sufficieny Program at CHA; Participants purchase in Middlesex County Framingham Housing Authority Contact: Rosemary Garneau Program Summary: Current participants in Family Self Sufficieny Program at FHA; Participants can purchase in any community in the state Gloucester Housing Authority Contact: David Houlden or Kathy Erkkila Program Summary: Current tenants from Gloucester Housing Authority (GHA); Current GHA tenants in Family Self Sufficiency Program or otherwise meet homeownership regulations. Participants can purchase in any community in the state. Greenfield Housing Authority Contact: John Cariddi Program Summary: Current participants in Family Self Sufficiency program at Greenfield Housing Authority; GHA households where the head or a member has a disability; GHA elderly households; Participants can purchase properties in any community in the state.
