This report illustrates a representative sample of the types of housing that have been developed over the past thirty years under the Massachusetts Comprehensive Permit Law (Chapter 40B). The report describes sixteen developments. Each case study provides a brief description of the community where the development is located and an overview of the development itself (including color pictures) and the process that led to its creation. The developments studied include elderly and family housing, homeownership and rental housing, and developments that are completely affordable as well ask those that are mixed income.
